Start your engines! Serious auto enthusiasts and amateur car lovers alike look forward to Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills at Westfield Promenade Mall every Sunday morning from 7 – 10 a.m. This family-friendly event allows folks to get up and close and personal with the proud owners of hot rods, luxury sports cars and vintage muscle cars.

Don’t worry – you won’t be approached with a “make me an offer” sales pitch. Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills is strictly an opportunity to see really cool cars up close, kick some tires, learn about the car’s role in auto industry history and talk with their proud owners about the history of the vehicle. It’s not a used car lot. But it is a great opportunity to see and snap pictures of some of the world’s coolest cars ever manufactured, as well as to hear extremely knowledgeable people explain every detail of their car, from the interior configuration to the engine.

If you have a vehicle of your own that you’re proud of and think others would like to see, you’re welcome to bring it to the very informal Supercar Sunday event, find a parking spot and show it off to the car-loving attendees. Just make sure you follow a few simple rules. For example, don’t peel out of the parking lot, rev your engine or play you radio loudly. Too many noise complaints could result in the event being canceled. Also, don’t be greedy: Take up just one parking spot. Other than making sure you leave the mall parking lot just as you found it, meaning you toss any trash in the appropriate receptacles, those are pretty much the only rules of Supercar Sunday. They would like you to register first at drivenworld.com so they can get an idea of the number of cars that will be on display.

The vehicles at Supercar Sunday can vary from week to week, so if you have a particular interest in say, old Corvettes, check the event’s website for a list of upcoming marque dates during which particular makes or models will be featured. Marque days are especially popular as owners of specific model types will drive from all over the country to show off their vehicle.

Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills is a free, fun community event, but organizers do face expenses for activities, such as maintaining the website and advertising, so the organization does accept donations. You can donate via paypal on their website.
Supercar Sunday is the kind of local event that brings like-minded people together for a few hours of camaraderie, fun and respect. Stop by some Sunday morning to see some of the most passionate people you’ll ever meet – and the cars they love.
