A Fourth of July Tradition Returns to the Valley Cultural Center
No matter how you like to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday – some sit down and watch hostile aliens attempting to take over the world in Independence Day, while others always find themselves grilling perfect hot dogs in the back yard – one thing ties the festivities to one another: Colorful, eye-opening fireworks displays. All throughout the country, a multitude of gatherings take place each and every year celebrating America’s independence from tyranny, and a large majority of Americans bring their families to marvel at the dazzling fireworks blasting off around them.
In Southern California, one of the most spectacular fireworks displays remains Keyes Motors and Councilman Bob Blumenfield’s July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza as hosted by the Valley Cultural Center and presented by Keyes Motors, a celebration that remains an offshoot of the Center’s Concerts on the Green series of events. On Monday, July fourth, the breathtaking fireworks show will return to the Valley Cultural Center’s Warner Center, beginning at six pm and concluding at 9:30 pm and featuring original Beach Boy David Marks with the Surf City Allstars.
The July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza has been delighting over 60,000 spectators during its tenure with a free concert and 15-minute jaw-dropping fireworks display. If that wasn’t exciting enough, over 20 local restaurants will be on hand, along with arts and crafts vendors and local businesses promoting and selling their goods. There will even be sponsorship opportunities available through the Valley Cultural Center itself. Indeed, fireworks in Woodland Hills has never been like this!
Parking in any of the Warner Center structures between Topanga and Canoga or Califa and Oxnard is $20. A parking pass with VIP seating (one seat) for the Keyes Motors and Councilman Bob Blumenfield July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza is $25.00 (plus a $2.25 fee), and one VIP seat for the event is $10.00 (plus a $1.49 fee). Attendees are urged to arrive early, whichever ticket package they choose.
With original Beach Boy David Marks touring with the Surf City Allstars, the greatest hits of the Beach Boys have taken on a whole new dynamic dimension – Marks played guitar and lent vocals to some of this iconic band’s biggest hits including “Surfin’ Safari,” “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Catch a Wave,” “Little Deuce Coupe,” “409,” “Shut Down,” “In My Room” and many more. The talent exuded by the six original Beach Boys in the band’s heyday – Marks, Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson – has led to this supergroup being honored at the Beach Boys’ Historical Landmark in Hawthorne, California, where the members all grew up together to become one of the greatest rock and roll bands in American history.
If you are searching for the ideal place to see fireworks in Woodland Hills this year, there is no better venue than the Keyes Motors and Councilman Bob Blumfield July 4th Extravaganza. For more information about this exciting event click here.
