And while the produce stands are undoubtedly the main attraction of these markets, they’re also just the beginning.

These weekly (and often year-round) events serve as local gathering spots, as well, what with the plethora of local musicians, jewelry, crafts and other great gifts waiting to be explored. Though great markets are scattered all over the state, the following picks represent our selections for the best farmer’s markets in the Woodland Hills area. 

Woodland Hills Farmer’s Market, located at 5650 Shoup Avenue, was established in 2022 and remains a unique experience with over 30 vendors of all kinds, live music, kids activities, free entry and parking – to say nothing of the farm-fresh produce, hummus, dips, yogurts, granola, hot food, wine, teas, coffees and more.  Open Saturdays from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

 

Whole Foods Market, located at 21347 Ventura Boulevard, is the place to go when you want to pick the best produce, local products from makers near you and all the groceries you know and love – from organic fruits and vegetables to sustainable seafood. Not enough? Choose from a world-class selection of beers and wines, freshly-baked breads, custom floral arrangements and even cakes/custom cakes. Open daily from 7 am to 10 pm.  

Ralph’s Fresh Fare, located at 21909 Ventura Boulevard, offers guaranteed fresh produce, making it a store that Woodland Hills locals say “has only gotten better over the years;” indeed, here’s a place where you can find just about everything, from health-related items to deli, bakery, Persian yogurt drinks, specialty foods, Asian selections and much more. Open daily from 5 am to 1 am the next day. 

Amazon Fresh, located at 6245 Topanga Canyon Boulevard, is where you’ll find consistently low prices on a wide assortment of your favorite brands as well as high-quality produce, meat and seafood, while you enjoy delicious prepared foods made on-premises. Erewhon, located at 26767 Agoura Road in Calabasas, strives to sell only the purest, ethically and  sustainably produced foods, wellness and beauty products and household items. The Tonic Bar offers Bulletproof and Vittoria organic coffee, kombucha on tap, immune-enhancing wellness tonics, shots, smoothies and acai bowls Meanwhile, 100-percent organic cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, juice cleanses and raw milk alternatives are always fresh-pressed daily, never pasteurized or processed, and the all-organic fresh salad bar will have you salivating with house-made salad dressings, fresh herbs and only the highest-quality cold-pressed oils, fresh organic meats and seasonal vegetables.
