2014 Halloween Harvest Festival

The Halloween Harvest Festival at Pierce College has something for everyone this year with plenty of Halloween and autumn-themed activities that are sure to delight. Perhaps the main attraction is the “pick your own” pumpkin patch full of farm-grown pumpkins. Inside the pumpkin patch is a stage show featuring Spookley the Square Pumpkin and his friend Jack. The corn maze is another main attraction at the festival. Each year, the corn maze has a theme. The theme for 2013 was “The Flight for Life,” which raised awareness of the importance of corn in feeding migrating geese. Come check out the corn maze to see what the 2014 theme will be.

The festival also includes numerous activities and rides such as a giant slide, a bounce house, a carousel, a train, a craft tent, a rock wall, pony rides, bumper boats, and bungee jumping. There is also a petting zoo with farm animals, a hayride, and, for those who aren’t easily spooked, after dark the festival is home to Fright Fair, featuring the Factory of Nightmares haunted house, Insane Reaction, and the Creatures of the Corn haunted trail, which are open after dark.

The Halloween Harvest Festival will be open for six weeks this year, from September 26 through November 2. The hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday for the festival and the corn maze. On the days the Factory of Nightmares haunted house and Creatures of the Corn trail are open, the hours will be dusk to 10 p.m. on weekdays and dusk to midnight on weekends.
