Recently, another announcement poised to add to the culturally-rich landscape of this social and street-retail destination has piqued the interest of San Fernando Valley residents already chomping at the bit to experience everything “The Village” has to offer.

Renowned interior designer and “tastemaker” Nathan Turner, a fourth-generation Californian boasting a love for cooking, entertaining and design, has partnered with The Village at Westfield Topanga for the purpose of bringing his distinctive design aesthetic to The Village’s relaxing, stylish and walkable open-air setting. Often called “a true embodiment of classic American culture,” Turner dynamically fuses his greatest passions – design, travel, cuisine and entertaining – through his own eponymous shop in Los Angeles, a location that has become an iconic component of the L.A. design circuit.

Turner’s “pop-up shop” at The Village, appropriately titled Nathan Turner’s American Style, is set to feature a wide-ranging, carefully-curated collection of American-made products from home goods to fashion, décor, beauty, general lifestyle, pet care, kitchenware and garden-related items, with Turner reportedly having identified “must have” commodities from around the U.S. to showcase at The Village.

According to Larry Green, Senior Vice President of Development for Westfield, Turner is so renowned for his fabulous dinners and intimate gatherings, he will be utilizing his Village “pop-up” to host many celebrity friends and creative colleagues for special events and trunk shows, as well as for presentations that will be open to the entire community.“Nathan’s aesthetic is a natural fit for The Village, and we are excited to bring our shoppers this progressive retail-lifestyle hybrid concept that won’t be seen anywhere else,” says Green.

Turner’s designs, parties and products have been featured in recognized national and regional publications includingArchitectural Digest, Elle Décor, Vogue, Veranda, Domino, Vogue Living, Town & Country, House Beautiful, Details, Food & Wine and C Magazine. He also regularly serves as an entertaining expert on The Today Show, as well as onExtra, CBS, The Early Show, TBS’ Movie and a Makeover, CW Now, Good Day L.A. and Good Day NY.

With regard to his awe-inspiring collaboration with The Village at Westfield Topanga, Turner says, “My whole world is about lifestyle – it’s an extension of who I am, what I do and my aesthetic, and it’s everything that helps one live a fulfilled life. I’ve always wanted to create a modern, all-American mercantile store, and I am truly looking forward to bringing my world to The Village at Westfield Topanga come fall 2015.”

Set to be a new central gathering location for shopping, dining, events, entertainment and leisure, The Village at Westfield Topanga will provide local residents and visitors alike a destination experience unlike any other in the sun-drenched San Fernando Valley. Beyond the trendy local fashion and lifestyle brand shops and sensational restaurants, experiences such as those Nathan Turner is bringing will undoubtedly take this uber-complex to a completely different, stratospheric level.
