Fashionistas, Rejoice! The Village at Westfield Topanga Expands

In May, we brought news of The Village at Westfield Topanga, an open-air shopping and entertainment center poised to be the new gathering place for San Fernando Valley residents in Woodland Hills. Marketed as a “fun destination experience” for all ages, “The Village” was gearing up to boast a cornucopia of trendy lifestyle outlets guaranteed to make even the most seasoned of stiletto-donning fashionistas take note including Varga, Athleta, M. Fredric, JD Luxe, Asics, Crate & Barrel and Sur La Table. Additionally, over 15 new dining establishments were planned, set to satisfy the pickiest of pallets such as EMC Seafood & Raw Bar, Il Fornaio, Joey Topanga, Tender Greens, XOC Tequila Grill and more.

Not only that, but a plethora of beauty concepts and salons geared up to take center stage at The Village at Westfield Topanga as well, in addition to numerous trend-setting confectionary and coffee spots in the form of JuanJuan Salon, Rain Living, Peet’s Coffee, Barista Society and many others.

As the mid-September 2015 grand opening draws near, this new shopping mecca – carefully curated to offer the most premium of retail, dining, leisure and entertainment experiences in the San Fernando Valley – has been further expanded on, culminating in what is being predicted to be one of the most robust retail forays in the United States.

Village Topanga Outdoor Area

The Village at Westfield Topanga has fused with Westfield Topanga’s existing offering of top-shelf retailers, dining and entertainment venues, a move predicted to provide local residents and visitors a destination experience like no other in the San Fernando Valley. Starting with transportation enhancements, a trolley will be offered daily so that shoppers will be able to access both properties, while the Orange Line transit station remains located directly adjacent to the entire complex.

Moving inside the trend-setting walls of The Village at Westfield Topanga itself, the mega-center will boast retailers new to the Los Angeles area such as Fabletics, the athletic apparel brand co-founded by actress Kate Hudson, and DAVIDsTEA, the Montreal-based tea specialty retailer. This venue also marks the inaugural California location for Rain, purveyor of luxury bath and body products.

ConfeXion, Food Network’s Cupcake Wars champion boasting an existing Southern California location in Pasadena, will offer an expanded selection of bakery treats at its Village of Westfield Topanga residence including exotic donuts, Italian pastries, artisan pies, soft pretzels and more. Meanwhile, celebrity florist Amy Marella is gearing up to open her second design-it-yourself flower studio called Fleurish at The Village, while both Jonathan Adler and REI will feature dual-level stores on the property.

With this The Village at Westfield Topanga construction update comes news of a partnership with radio station 88.5 KCSN who will curate and create significant music events at The Village. Westfield has also collaborated with local muralist Elkpen and UCLA’s School of the Arts and Architecture. And, consistent with The Village’s appeal as an outdoor, “walkable” space that celebrates good health, the complex will feature a 24-Hour Fitness, Yoga Works and UCLA Health & Wellness Center.

Providing a full suite of financial services will be Wells Fargo and Charles Schwab locations, putting a proverbial finishing touch on this meticulously planned, consumer-centric endeavor.

From sensational restaurants offering al fresco patio dining to a full-service gym, spa and yoga studio – to say nothing of unique surprises like a weekly farmer’s market and more, all under a canopy of lush native foliage and vegetation – the open-air Village at Westfield Topanga is destined to redefine what Southern Californians expect from an all-encompassing retail and entertainment experience.
