Concerts on the Green Gearing Up to Start Summer 2017 Season

In providing diverse programs and events in the arts that bring together talent, community and business throughout the San Fernando Valley, the Valley Cultural Center was originally founded in 1975 to assist the Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks in delivering arts and culture to this region of sun-kissed California. Now at the forefront of culture, arts and arts education for more than 40 years, the Cultural Center has become renowned for its free Concerts in the Park series, launched in 1975 under the guidance of its first chairwoman, educator Lou Bredlow. When these concerts became known as Concerts on the Green, the experience turned into a phenomenon for Southern Californians who hankered for summertime concerts in Woodland Hills, and continues to satisfy such fans to this day.

The 2017 Concerts on the Green schedule reads like a proverbial who’s who of incredible tribute bands and other celebrations such as fireworks shows, with all performances taking place on Sunday evenings at 6 pm and the calendar running from June 18 to August 20 (with the exception of July 2). The shows end at 8 pm unless otherwise noted, and all are held at the beautiful Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park at 5800 Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills.

There’s plenty of room for a late-afternoon picnic with the family to enjoy while taking in these free concerts in Woodland Hills, and parking is available in the structure directly behind the stage on Califa Street for $15.

Ready for a summer you and the family won’t soon forget? Here’s the 2017 lineup for performances at Concerts on the Green!
